A new version of the European card game 6 Nimmt. Also known as Take 6 or Category 5. This version is based on an avalanche theme. Players arrange their cards on the playing surface building hills. Once a hill gets 5 cards high, the player to play the 6th card will cause an avalanche and the 5 original cards slide into his score pile leaving the 6th card to start a new hill. The catch is that each card is worth a varying degree of points and you want to end the hand with the fewest points. Strategy gets twisted because all players reveal the card they are playing at the same time making the turn very unpredictable. Can you guess what your opponents are going to do to avoid an avalance of points racing into your score? This game is very easy to learn and instantly addictive!

This game requires you to strategically play a card down at the same time all your opponents are playing a card down. Once the cards are revealed, they are played in numeric order on top of existing piles in the center of the table based solely on the number of the card. If your card is the 6th card added to the pile, you take the pile. The goal is to take the fewest "skiers". Each card has a random number of skiers at the top. So a pile from the center of the table could have as few as 5 skiers or as many as 13+. You can think you have a strategy with this game, but it will change every game and sometimes every hand based on what other players do. This is a great game to play with family and friends. It is very easy to learn, a quick game to play and you can hold a conversation without slowing the game.
